Hi biopsies, I’ve been thinking about adding to this blog. I watch my fair share of serials and movies and am recommending movies/serials and so on to those around me. So why not do that here, I mean I’m already share my views on the matter so why not here. The fact that I’m still awake is probably what prompted this, but either way, let’s jump straight in.
The movie. “12th fail” is presented as a true story about a boy, named Manoj, that gets advice from a police officer that honesty will always lead you down the right path. Manoj comes from a poor family and hasn’t got much of a future. His dad’s a person that always walks on the rights path no matter the cost. The movie basically tells the story of how far a person can you go, how much effort he/she is willing to put in in order to reach their goal.
The role of Manoj Kumar is played by Vikrant Massey, I’ve seen him in a serial, Qubool Hai, quite a few years ago. His role there was an easy-going young man that had to toughen up due to the harsh reality surrounding him. To be honest, he is a good actor BUT he’s at his best as a serious character not someone that’s immature and jokes around. He played that role in the serial and played it well considering the actor he replaced. That one could not act if his life depended on it, okay back to Vikrant Massey, I thought of him as a good actor even though he put in too much into being this young and silly person that’s not taken seriously. I just thought that needed to grow as an actor but after seeing this movie it feels like he has. The role was well played out, he really was a great match for it, and I really think that this is the type of roles he should focus on until he’s ready. I felt the same vibes, as in Qubool Hai, during the scenes where he was considered unresponsible and easygoing.
All in all, I recommend the movie, Vikrant Massey did an amazing job in portraying the character, and the character was believable. I have seen many documentaries regarding families living in poverty, I’ve witnessed it first-hand, so I know that many families live in these conditions and in a lot of cases worse. So, I like the fact that they show the differences between those coming from wealthy family’s vs the ones that are middle class or well below the poverty line. I actually think that this movie will be a ray of hope for those that are scared to dream due to their family background and economy. There’s so many Indians that watches movies just to get away from their reality and just focus on someone else. I recommend this movie because the storyline is really good, as is the acting skills and the fact that it sends out a clear message to never give up on your dreams. I’ll link the trailer here below and regarding the movie, just google it I'm sure. it's easy to find online with subtitles. I'm finally sleepy and the party seems to have finished so sweet dreams <3
